How do I reply to postings

by poppy (guest), 09 Nov 2011 12:29

The Redstarts I discussed are listed in genus Phoenicurus of family Muscicapidae. The Blackstart is listed in genus Cercomela of the same family and is described as a species of rocky deserts and mountain slopes. Thanks for the comment - I will look at other species in genus Cercomela. Bob.

Following on from your comments about Redstarts and Whitestarts, you concluded that both were montane-linked as regards their habitat. I wonder, then, where the Blackstart fits in as this is a desert bird?

This is a check to see that things are still working after some changes have been made.

Bob, just trying the 'easy way' to sign in.
I think the adverts have picked up the birds bit of the address, there's a dating site (for free!) and another site which may be a bit dubious- not sure what it is selling- I suppose it is Saturday night! I agree with everything that steve says in his last 2 lines and I think that the committee should be more supportive.

Hi Bob, i tried searching the site tonight after your call. I first just put in the search birds and birding wilmslow forum and like you say it was in the top 10 listings on the first page. Just typing in bbdg.wikidot a similar result. MY computer must have the site stored in its memory as i was automatically logged in as trogon so there was no need to enter an email address. Just as a matter of interest i wonder how i could view the site as other members of the public woud see it, complete with the adverts you mentioned. I do agree this is a further step to making it easier for people to add their comments, i just hope you won't get too disheartened if it takes longer to get the sort of involvement you were hoping for, looking at the site i think you have achieved a great resource in a relatively short time. steve

To edit or reply to postings.

To edit your own posting (we all make mistakes quite often) or to reply to a posting from someone else you need to go to the appropriate category in Your Interests (the blue sub-headings like Bird Identification) or Site Feedback. When you then find the item you want you will see two options below the text box - one is Reply and the other is Options. If you click on Options you can select Edit. The other options are not open to you unless you are an administrator.
